    ACT 1:

Anthony Lopez: Hey guys, my name is Anthony Lopez. I am a Project Manager for Audacy Los Angeles. I grew up like far away from LA, so coming to downtown LA into this big building, can be quite intimidating you know?

    [:14]

    ACT 2:

Anthony Lopez (continued): The interview itself was like meeting with two new friends, it was literally just a conversation about you know; “what do you do every day,” like, “what’s your interests, what do you know about these stations?” And after sitting there, talking to-- at the time I didn’t know would be my future bosses for about an hour-- I ended up getting a call back about two weeks later, that I got the job. And that’s actually how I got into my first broadcast company, and then after time CBS radio sold out to Entercom and then Entercom rebranded itself as Audacy. So, I have been in the same company for a while now.

On top of that, you know there is perks as well; free concert tickets, meeting some artists that—if you weren’t in radio like it would be almost impossible to meet them.

    ACT 6:

Sophie Vieger: I do, I really like my job at Audacy. I think the cool part about working for KROQ specifically, like we did today, is seeing how many people come up to our station and their like, “We have been listening since the 80’s”, “I have been listening since I was a kid.” Like, it is so cool to be a part of something that has been here for so long, and to see how it has grown and evolved and changed.

    [:24]

    Act 7:

Sophie Vigier: Today for example, we got to take a lot of pictures in our photobooth with people, people get really excited about that. I’m just glad to be a part of a station with such longevity, and that we get to uphold that for the future.

Short Video Documentary

  • Austin Anderson, a professional photographer living in Los Angeles, has a golden retriever and poodle mix named Willow. Anderson likes to take Willow to the dog park about once a week, so she can excerpt energy and tire herself out in a healthy way. The dog and her owner visited the West Hollywood Park and Dog Park on Friday, February 10th around midafternoon.

After Anderson clocked out of his online shift at LA Thieves, he noticed Willow was waiting by the front door to go outside. He hadn’t gone to the dog park that week, and since it was a nice day outside and the sun was still out, he decided to take her to his favorite local dog park. He drove the fifteen minutes there and found that the library parking garage was full. He instead parked in a nearby street spot, on N Robertson Blvd., and made the short walk over to the off-leash dog areas.

Anderson and his dog live in a small apartment in Mid-City Los Angeles, where Willow does not have a large enough environment to run or play with other dogs. He mentioned that taking her to the dog park not only gets some of her pent-up energy out, but also, “builds her socialization skills with new people and dogs.”

The West Hollywood Park and Dog Park has continued to be Anderson’s favorite in the Los Angeles greater area. He has been taking Willow there since she was a fully vaccinated puppy. “I still remember the day security told me Willow graduated out of the small dog park,” Anderson said. His goldendoodle is around 45 pounds, so she strictly visits the large dog area since she became full grown.

Willow looked like she enjoyed her time at the dog park today, there were a surplus of other dogs to interact with. The weekends are the busiest for these small and large dog parks. Austin mentioned he will probably come back on a weekday next. “I will continue to share with other dog owners how great this park is,” Anderson exclaimed. Implying that he and Willow will be back soon enough, possibly with more dog owners and their fur-friends.
