WELCOME TO MY ONLINE PORTFOLIO
I am excited to share my work with you!
Hello! Allow me to introduce myself.
My name is Riley Debardelaben, I have pursued my Public Relations degree online at the University of Memphis. Graduating with the class of 2024’ in August.
I am open to work in the DFW area! My last position was with Canyon Country Los Angeles as their Social Media Coordinator for brands like The Sunset Strip, Visit West Hollywood, Level99 Jeans, and more.
In my free time, I take fitness classes, freelance model, and attend events and concerts with friends and family. I also go on long walks, hikes, and dog park adventures with my golden doodle, Willow.
Where it all started:
Growing up in Memphis was like living in a constant mix of music and social energy, thanks to my mom's role in the local radio scene. With her working as a DJ and Director of Marketing for several stations, concerts, events, and gatherings were always part of our lives. Those experiences gave me a deep love for music, connection, and social interaction from a young age.
My early years were filled with cheerleading from age seven to seventeen, which helped shape me into a confident and social person. Alongside cheering, I dived into music lessons, art classes at the AP level, and sang as an alto in the jazz choir throughout high school. Being named "Social Butterfly" at Bartlett High School felt like a natural fit.
When I started college, the Covid-19 pandemic pushed me to find new ways to stay active and connected. I decided to try out for the University of Memphis Cheer Team and was thrilled to secure a spot. I also kept a serving job at Porch and Parlor in Overton Square, where I picked up valuable customer service and sanitization skills.
In the spring of 2021, I made the leap from Memphis to Los Angeles, continuing my studies online. LA was the perfect place for me to dive deeper into my passions for entertainment, music, and social interaction.
Since moving to LA, I’ve had a variety of experiences. I’ve worked in fine dining at The Palm in Beverly Hills, modeled for local brands and fashion shows like LAFMC, and built a TikTok following of nearly 350,000. I’ve also had the chance to work with Audacy's promotions team, expanding my network and collaborating with some incredibly talented artists and entertainment industry professionals.
In late 2024, I began interning at Canyon Country Los Angeles. I was then offered a full-time role at the same agency. Throughout my time at CCLA, I further developing my understanding of social media strategy, influencer engagement, and content creation. After transferring into the Social Media Coordinator position, I was able to combine remote work and in-office collaboration to contribute meaningfully input around client projects. I also gained extensive knowledge in areas like editing, content scheduling, and trend analysis.
I have recently relocated to Frisco, Texas to settle down and be closer to family. I am very excited to continue expanding upon my understanding of Public Relations and Social Media applications here in Dallas Fort Worth area.
